Carey Elder Design was founded by Carey Elder, a Boston native who spent her college years in Nashville and currently resides in the Chicago Northern suburbs. From antiques brimming with charm, history and imperfections to clean lines with modern touches, good design is felt in the layers of thought that go into designing a space.

 

With a Bachelors of Science degree from Vanderbilt University and a Masters of Interior Architecture degree from Boston Architectural College, Carey began her career working with some of the most inspiring and talented designers in Boston and Chicago. With over five years of experience in boutique hospitality design as a Senior Designer at Studio K Creative specializing in restaurants, wellness clubs and luxury housing, paired with 15 years of experience in high-end residential design at firms including Bruce Fox, Wells & Fox, and Charles Spada, Carey has learned to balance beautiful conceptual design with attentive, detail-oriented construction documentation and construction administration, working in partnership with the client, builders, architects and many vendors to create a successful end product.

 

The spaces she designs are with the client in mind at all times, with her experience and skills used as a method of getting there as seamlessly as possible.
